Fold, curl, twist, and stretch.

This document applies to flexible displays employing technologies such as liquid crystal display (LCD), electronic paper (EPD), and organic light-emitting diode (OLED).

Display module. This document includes mechanical testing methods under various mechanical stress conditions.

3 Terms and Definitions

This document does not contain any terms or definitions that need to be defined.

The URLs for the terminology databases maintained by ISO and IEC for standardization are as follows.

4 Standard atmospheric conditions

Unless otherwise agreed upon by both the supplier and the buyer, the standard atmospheric conditions specified in 5.3 of IEC 62341-5:2009 shall apply.

--Temperature. 25 °C±3 °C;

--Relative humidity. 25%~85%;

--Air pressure. 86 kPa~106 kPa.

Since temperature and humidity are crucial to the stability of image quality when the display module is bent and rolled, these factors should be considered when conducting various tests.

Record the temperature and humidity conditions.

Note. Before and after assembling the specimen and device, it is best to store the specimen and device in a controlled environment for at least 24 hours before conducting mechanical deformation tests.

5 Sample Preparation

5.1 General Rules

The test specimen should be a display module, as the final evaluation is based on the image quality of the display module, such as brightness, chromaticity, uniformity, and line defects.
