3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Automatic test system

With minimal human intervention, computer-based automatic measurement control, status detection, analysis and assessment and fault diagnosis

Test system.

Note. Automated test systems typically consist of an automated test equipment (ATE) and a test assembly (TPS).

3.2 Automatic test equipment

A device that automatically performs a function or parameter test, evaluates the degree of performance degradation, or isolates a fault.

3.3 Test assembly testprogramset

A collection of interfaces, test or calibration procedures and corresponding documentation necessary for testing or calibrating a unit under test with an automated test equipment.

3.4 Product specification

Describe the functional characteristics, physical characteristics and verification requirements of the product, etc., which are the basic technical status documents of the product.
