1 Scope

China's national rules for identifying and dealing with e-commerce products in enforcement action. It specifies the terms and definitions, the basic principles and the workflow, beginning with investigation and the gathering of evidence. This is the enforcement end of the e-commerce standards series, and its difficulty is evidential rather than technical. When a product bought online is found to be non-conforming, the questions that follow are all about proof: that this item came from that listing, that the listing was live at the time, that the seller was the one who shipped it, and that the item was not altered between delivery and testing. Every one of those is contestable in a way that a shop inspection is not, because the transaction leaves no physical trail - only records held by the platform, the payment processor and the carrier. Fixing a workflow for capturing that chain is what makes an online enforcement finding stand up.

This standard stipulates the basic principles and work processes of electronic data, physical objects and other evidence collection standards in the investigation of e-commerce products. This standard applies to the evidence collection work of e-commerce products law enforcement investigation.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 35408-2017 apply to this document.
