Introduction

Carbon black is a kind of carbon element, which exists in the form of nano-scale particle size and amorphous carbon, and is the organic matter (natural gas, heavy oil, fuel oil, etc.)

The product obtained by incomplete combustion or thermal decomposition under the condition of insufficient gas. Carbon black is the earliest nanomaterial developed, applied and currently produced by human beings.

Rice materials are listed as one of the 25 basic chemical products and fine chemical products by the international chemical industry. Carbon black is indispensable for the rubber industry

With less reinforcing raw materials, it can endow rubber products with a series of excellent properties.

In the standardization system of carbon black, the three characteristic indicators of carbon black, specific surface area, structure and surface activity, are the main indicators to determine the reinforcing ability of carbon black.

Indicators, GB/T 3780 is divided into multiple parts around the performance of carbon black, and it is proposed to be composed of 22 parts.

--- Part 1.Test method for iodine absorption value. Suitable for testing the surface area of carbon black, the size of the surface area of carbon black will affect the carbon black in rubber

dispersion, especially in relation to tire wear resistance.

--- Part 2.Determination of oil absorption value. It is suitable for testing the structure of carbon black. The structure is the unique performance of carbon black. Carbon black with high structure can be

In order to provide better reinforcement for tires, the structure tested in this part is the primary structure and secondary structure of carbon black, and the secondary structure of carbon black

The structure is the structure of the smallest unit aggregate of carbon black due to agglomeration.

--- Part 4.Determination of oil absorption value of compressed samples. The oil absorption value of the compressed sample of carbon black tests the primary structure of carbon black, which is the

According to the structural parameters of the smallest unit aggregate, only the primary structure of carbon black can reinforce the tire.

--- Part 5.Determination of specific surface area CTAB method. It is suitable for testing the outer surface area of carbon black, which is the difference between carbon black and rubber

The effective area where crosslinking can occur.

--- Part 6.Determination of tinting strength. It is suitable for testing the particle size distribution of carbon black, which can determine its effect on rubber.

Reinforcing effect. Carbon black with high tinting strength value has a relatively concentrated particle size distribution, which can greatly improve the reinforcing effect of carbon black.

Effect.

--- Part 7.Determination of pH value. Suitable for testing the pH value of carbon black, the pH value of carbon black will affect the vulcanization speed of rubber products

degree and curing time.

--- Part 8.Determination of heating loss. It is suitable for the determination of low-temperature volatiles such as moisture in carbon black, and the heat loss in carbon black is partial

When it is high, its rubber products will produce air bubbles due to low-temperature volatiles such as moisture vulcanized at high temperature, which will affect the quality of rubber products such as tires.

quality.

--- Part 10.Determination of ash. High ash content in carbon black will affect the purity of carbon black and reduce the carbon content in carbon black.

--- Part 12.Inspection of impurities. Impurities in carbon black are foreign matter in the production process, which are relatively large in size and can be found in rubber products.

If it exists, local cracks will easily appear in the place where it exists, and it may cause a blowout in the tire.

--- Part 14.Determination of sulfur content. Rubber products need to be vulcanized with sulfur, and the sulfur content of carbon black is high, which will affect the quality of rubber products, etc.

vulcanization rate.

--- Part 15.Determination of light transmittance of toluene extract. Carbon black toluene extract comes from incompletely pyrolyzed hydrocarbons and adheres to the carbon

Tar-like substance on black surface. The tar-like substance on the surface of carbon black can be extracted by some solvents such as toluene. Toluene will carbon black table

The lower the light transmittance of the toluene solution, the lower the light transmittance of the toluene solution, indicating that the content of low molecular volatiles in carbon black is high, which will affect the

Surface gloss of rubber products.

--- Part 17.Indirect determination of particle size reflectance method. The particle size of carbon black is indirectly measured, which is the same as that tested by electron microscopy.

The particle size of the carbon black is corresponding, which can quickly test the particle size of the carbon black and determine its effect on rubber products.

--- Part 18.Identification methods in natural rubber (NR). It is suitable for testing the physical and mechanical properties of carbon black in rubber.

The method is to mix and vulcanize carbon black with rubber, and test the physical and mechanical properties of rubber reinforced with carbon black according to GB/T 528.

--- Part 21.Determination of sieve residue Water washing method. The sieve residue in carbon black is produced during the production process, and its volume is larger than

Substances of 45 µm have a small volume, and when they exist in rubber products, local cracks are prone to appear at the place where they exist, causing rubber products to crack.

Rupture early.

--- Part 22.Calculation of process capability index using process control data. It is suitable for guiding the control of carbon black production process.

--- Part 23.Sampling and identification of fugitive carbon black or other environmental particles. It specifies the fugitive particles of carbon black in the carbon black production environment

Sampling and identification of particles, suitable for testing the pollution of carbon black to the environment.

--- Part 24.Determination of void volume. This part, same as part 4, is a method for testing the primary structure of carbon black, which can be quickly tested

Test the structure of carbon black.

--- Part 25.Determination of carbon content. Place the combustion boat containing the weighed sample in a tube furnace at 1350°C for complete combustion.

Carbon is oxidized to carbon dioxide, and the concentration of carbon dioxide is measured with a carbon analyzer to determine its carbon content. This part shares with Part 26

The test method of carbon emission in the production process of carbon black with the same composition is prepared for the formulation of carbon emission control standards in the production process of carbon black.

--- Part 26.Determination of carbon content in carbon black feedstock oil. This part uses the same method as part 25 to test carbon black raw materials

Carbon content in oil, this Part and Part 25 together constitute the test method for carbon emissions in the production process of carbon black, for the development of carbon black

Prepare for carbon emission control standards in the production process.

--- Part 27.Determination of aggregate size distribution by disc centrifugal optical deposition measurement. Testing carbon black by physical centrifugation

The particle size distribution of carbon black is the same as in Part 6.By testing the particle size distribution of carbon black, its reinforcing effect on rubber can be determined.

--- Part 28.Determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons content. The sources of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in carbon black are the same as in Section 15, and the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons on the surface of carbon black

Aromatics will be brought into the environment along with the use of carbon black in various rubber and plastic products, especially when used in paints, inks, and toys.

Carbon black with high PAH content can cause harm when it comes into contact with the human body.

--- Part 29.Determination of solvent extractables. The source of solvent extractables in carbon black is the same as in Part 15, toluene or acetone

The size of the solvent extractables reflects the amount of residues, and reflects the complete degree of carbon black production conversion (in the production of carbon black

incompletely decomposed organic polymers remaining on the carbon black surface). High levels of extractables may contaminate the compound and in some applications

It can cause pollution, and there may be problems with the appearance of the product.

The release of various parts of GB/T 3780 can improve the level of my country's carbon black technology, promote the improvement of the quality of carbon black products, and provide a solid foundation for the relative development of carbon black.

It provides a platform for technical exchanges among relevant users. Through the integration with the international level, the function of the standard can be effectively played, and the trade and communication can be better promoted.
