Scope

GB/T 37607-2025 is the English-translated version of 耐蚀合金盘条和丝.

GB/T 37607-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering nickel- and iron-based corrosion-resistant alloy wire rod from 4.5 mm to 18.0 mm and wire from 0.10 mm to 16.0 mm — the designations and their melting composition, the melting route and the delivery condition, hot-rolled, solution-treated or cold-drawn, that fixes what the wire can still be formed into, the room-temperature mechanical properties and the heat treatment behind them, the surface quality, and the inspection and certificate. It replaces GB/T 37607-2019, under the China Iron and Steel Association. In force from 1 March 2026. Issued on 29 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 March 2026, replacing GB/T 37607-2019.

Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 “Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents”.

This document supersedes GB/T 37607-2019 “Corrosion-resistant alloy wire rod and wire” and GB/T 38589-2020 “General technical requirements of corrosion-resistant alloy bars, wire rods and wires”. This document is primarily based on GB/T 37607- 2019 and incorporates the content of GB/T 38589-2020.Compared with GB/T 37607- 2019, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) MODIFY the scope of application (see Clause 1 of this document; Clause 1 of the 2019 edition);

b) MODIFY the ordering contents (see Clause 4 of this document; Clause 3 of the 2019 edition);

c) MODIFY the delivery condition for wire rods (see 5.2.1 of this document; 5.3.1 of the 2019 edition);

d) ADD three corrosion-resistant alloy designations. H08330 (NS1105), H06690 (NS3105), and H06022 (NS3308); MODIFY the requirements for the chemical composition of certain designations (see 6.1 of this document; 5.1 of the 2019 edition);

e) ADD the requirements for the mechanical properties of wires of designations H08330 (NS1105), H06690 (NS3105), and H06022 (NS3308); MODIFY the requirements for the room-temperature mechanical properties of designation H10276 (NS3304); and MODIFY the recommended heat treatment regimens for the room-temperature mechanical properties of wires (see 6.2.2 of this document; 5.4 of the 2019 edition);

f) MODIFY the requirements for surface quality (see 6.3 of this document; 5.5 of the 2019 edition);

g) MODIFY the test methods (see 7.2 of this document; 6.1 of the 2019 edition);

h) MODIFY the provisions regarding packaging, marking, and quality certificate (see Clause 9 of this document; Clause 8 of the 2019 edition).
