1 Scope

Part 1 of China's general technical specification for heavy machinery, covering the inspection and testing of products. The series applies to the parts, components and machines of smelting, rolling, heavy forging, continuous casting and mining equipment - the machines that build everything else, made in ones and twos, weighing hundreds of tonnes, and assembled on the customer's site rather than in a factory. That is why the series exists in this form. A mass-produced machine is specified by its product standard, and each unit is a copy of a type that was tested once; a heavy machine is unique, so the general requirements have to be written as a technical specification that a contract can refer to, covering how the work is done rather than what the product must be. Part 1 sets out the inspection and testing regime that runs through the whole build, since a defect found after assembly on a machine of this size is not repaired but rebuilt.

This part of GB/T 37400 specifies heavy machinery products (mainly including smelting, rolling, heavy forging, continuous casting, mining machinery, etc. Parts and components of the matching machinery and purchased semi-finished products (the original size along the length direction formed by the rolling process) General inspection requirements for materials). 3 Inspection basis

The inspection shall be based on the requirements in the following documents.

a) ordering contract or ordering technical requirements;

b) Product drawings, design documents, production documents and relevant technical standards in accordance with the ordering contract or technical requirements for ordering.
