Scope

GB/T 37291-2019 is the English-translated version of 基于LTE技术的宽带集群通信(B-TrunC)系统总体技术要求(第一阶段).

GB/T 37291-2019 sets the overall technical requirements for the broadband trunking communication (B-TrunC) system based on LTE technology, first phase.

Clause 1 states that these requirements take in the guiding principles and application scenarios, the functional and performance requirements, the system architecture, the interface requirements, numbering and addressing, and the codec requirements, and that the standard applies to the terminals, base stations, trunking core network and dispatcher equipment of a first-phase B-TrunC system.

Its contents list names clause 4 on guiding principles, application scenarios and the terminal, clause 5 on service function requirements, service performance requirements and other functions, clause 6 on the system architecture with its network entities and interfaces, clause 7 on transmitter and receiver performance requirements, clause 8 on interface requirements, clause 9 on numbering and addressing, and clause 10 on audio and video codec requirements.

Clause 7 breaks the radio-frequency indicators down by band, covering the operating frequency bands and channel bandwidths and then the 1447 MHz to 1467 MHz and 1785 MHz to 1805 MHz bands separately, while clause 8 addresses the Uu, Uu-T and D interfaces and clause 9 splits numbering between user and terminal device numbers and group-related numbers.

Two normative appendices follow, one giving the end-to-end procedure for the LTE broadband trunking group call service and one giving the decomposition of the LTE broadband trunking core network.

Clause 3 holds the terms and definitions together with the abbreviations, defining the dispatcher as a special terminal connected to the LTE broadband trunking core network by wire or wirelessly that can initiate trunking dispatch services and whose service privileges exceed those of an ordinary terminal, and broadband trunking as a wireless communication system based on broadband wireless mobile communication technology that supports broadband data services together with trunking command and dispatch services in voice and multimedia form.

The foreword states that the standard is one of a series of first-phase B-TrunC standards, alongside GB/T 37290 on the air interface, GB/T 37289 on the interface from terminal to trunking core network and GB/T 37287 on the interface from trunking core network to dispatcher, that it was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is administered by the National Communications Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 485), and that some of its content may be the subject of patents. It was issued on 25 March 2019 and has applied since 1 October 2019.

Foreword

This standard is one of the series of standards for broadband trunking communication (B-TrunC) systems (first phase) based on LTE technology. The structure and name are expected to be as follows.

---GB/T 37291 LTE-based broadband cluster communication (B-TrunC) system overall technical requirements (first phase);

---GB/T 37290 LTE-based broadband trunking communication (B-TrunC) system interface technical requirements (first phase)

Air interface ---GB/T 37289 LTE-based broadband trunking communication (B-TrunC) system interface technical requirements (first phase) Terminal to cluster core network interface;

---GB/T 37287 LTE-based broadband trunking communication (B-TrunC) system interface technical requirements (first phase) Cluster core network to dispatcher interface.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the overall technical requirements (first phase) of the broadband trunking communication (B-TrunC) system based on LTE technology, including guiding principles and application scenarios, functional and performance requirements, system architecture, interface requirements, numbering and addressing, and codec requirements.

This standard applies to terminals, base stations, and cluster core network and dispatcher equipment of the Broadband Cluster Communication (B-TrunC) system (Phase 1) based on LTE technology.
