Scope
GB/T 37242-2018 is the English-translated version of 机器人噪声试验方法.
GB/T 37242-2018 sets out how to measure the noise a robot radiates and express it as a sound power level. It covers industrial robots and personal/home and public service robots, but not special robots.
The standard fixes the test environment, with limits on background noise, environmental correction and climate conditions, the test ground, the equipment, and how the robot is installed and operated during the test.
It defines the reference body for armed and armless robots, the microphone positions for non-mobile and mobile working robots, parallelepiped and hemispherical measuring surfaces and a scanning microphone method.
It then gives the calculation of surface sound pressure levels with background and environmental corrections, the sound power level, and the contents of the test record and report. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 28 December 2018.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the sound power level of robot radiation noise. At the same time, the test environment, test equipment, and test equipment are given.
Requirements for standby operating conditions, and calculation methods for surface sound pressure levels and sound power levels.
This standard applies to industrial robots, personal/home service robots and public service robots for various purposes (the following personal/home wear)
The robotic and public service robots are collectively referred to as "service robots" in this standard to measure the noise power level.
This standard does not apply to the testing of special robot noise power levels.
Note 1. Personal/home service robots include such things as housekeeping, education and entertainment, old-age support, personal transportation, and security monitoring.
Note 2. Public service robots include hotel services, banking services, venue services, and catering services.
