Scope

GB/T 37020-2018 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 系统间远程通信和信息交换 局域网和城域网 特定要求 面向视频的无线个域网(VPAN)媒体访问控制和物理层规范.

GB/T 37020-2018 specifies the medium access control (MAC) layer and the physical (PHY) layer for video wireless personal area networks (VPAN).

It describes the network topology, components, service interfaces and reference model, then details the PHY functions, PPDU format, PHY layer and PLME, the MCS parameters and the RF requirements for the 780 MHz band.

The MAC part covers frame formats, the distributed coordination function, scheduling, service period allocation, the AP cluster mechanism and message sequences between MAC and PHY, and a management clause defines the MLME and PLME interfaces.

An informative appendix summarizes Chinese radio frequency regulations. It applies to the design and development of fixed, portable and low-speed mobile devices. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.
