Scope
GB/T 37015.2-2018 is the English-translated version of 柔性直流输电系统性能 第2部分:暂态.
GB/T 37015.2-2018 is Part 2 of the Chinese standard on the performance of VSC-HVDC transmission systems, and deals with transient performance as it affects the security and stability of the power system.
It covers the converter topology and grounding method, transients in normal operation such as DC start and stop, load shedding and response to emergency control, and transients caused by faults in the AC system, inside the converter station and on the line, together with insulation coordination, communication requirements and auxiliary systems.
It applies to two-terminal, multi-terminal and back-to-back systems built on half-bridge modular multilevel converters, and can serve as a reference for full-bridge designs and current source converter HVDC.
Planners and designers use it for flexible HVDC projects. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword
GB/T 37015 "Flexible DC Transmission System Performance" is divided into two parts.
--- Part 1. Steady state;
--- Part 2. Transient.
This part is the second part of GB/T 37015.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 37015 specifies the technical requirements for the transient performance of flexible DC transmission systems under the safety and stability of power systems.
The requirements include four aspects of normal operation transient process, fault disturbance transient process, communication requirement and auxiliary system.
This section applies to flexible DC transmission systems based on two-terminal, multi-terminal and back-to-back configurations of half-bridge modular multilevel converters.
This section is for flexible DC transmission systems based on full-bridge modular multilevel converters and DC transmission based on current source converters. The system can be used for reference.
This section can be used to guide the planning, design, construction and operation of flexible HVDC systems.
