Introduction

Modular machine tools and their automated production lines are mainly suitable for processing large quantities of parts in industries such as automobiles and construction machinery. In the modular machine tool industry, the general-purpose section...

The components are highly serialized and specialized, yet each exists as an independent product. The spindle end and adjustable connecting rod of the multi-axis headstock of the modular machine tool are key components.

One of the components. The quality of the multi-spindle head end and the adjustable connecting rod directly affects the machining accuracy of the combined machine tool, especially its precision.

To ensure the maintenance and reliability of products. GB/T 3668 aims to define the design, manufacture, inspection, and inter-component connection of general-purpose components for modular machine tools.

The knot and interchangeability consist of 13 parts.

---Part 1: Multi-spindle housing and input shaft dimensions. The purpose is to determine the dimensions required during the manufacturing process of the multi-spindle housing and input shafts.

All indicators and parameters that must be followed to ensure the performance and quality of components.

---Part 2: Bracket Dimensions. The purpose is to determine the standards that must be followed during the manufacturing process of bracket products to ensure component performance and quality.

This document specifies the installation of adjustable and quick-change connecting rods on the spindle end of a multi-spindle headstock of a combination machine tool, as well as the installation of drill bits, reamers, and countersinks with taper shanks.

The dimensions of three types of adjustable extension rods (Type A, Type B, and Type C) for cutting tools such as hole punches. This ensures that manufacturers of these machine tools conduct thorough inspections before product delivery.

Having a basis for acceptance testing with users plays an important role in ensuring product quality and promoting trade and technological exchange.

The revision and implementation of this document will affect the design, manufacturing, and user acceptance of the spindle end and adjustable connecting rod of the multi-axis headstock of modular machine tools.

It plays a very good regulatory role.

4 Spindle end

4.1 Nominal Dimensions

The nominal size is specified by the nominal bore diameter at the end of the spindle.

The following nine nominal sizes are used.

8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, 36mm and 48mm.

4.2 Interchangeability

The spindle end should be suitable for an adjustable extension rod manufactured in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 5.

4.3 Type and Dimensions

The type and dimensions shall conform to the specifications in Figure 1 and Table 1.

4.4 Locking screws

For safety, the tightened locking screw should not exceed the outer diameter of the spindle end. Therefore, if necessary, adjustments should be made based on the maximum tool wear.
