Scope

GB/T 36669.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 在用压力容器检验 第1部分:加氢反应器.

GB/T 36669.1-2018 is the first part of the Chinese national series on the inspection of pressure vessels in service, and deals with hydrogenation reactors.

It sets the items and methods of periodic inspection for hot-wall reactors made mainly of 14Cr1MoR, 12Cr2Mo1R or 12Cr2Mo1VR chromium-molybdenum steel, or equivalent grades, with an internal weld overlay, and does not apply to cold-wall reactors.

It covers the requirements for inspection bodies and personnel, the conduct of the inspection and the inspection report, and uses the J and X temper embrittlement factors calculated to GB/T 30579.

An informative annex lists potential damage modes and matching test methods. The other parts cover multilayer vessels, coke towers and oxygen chambers. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 36669 "Inspection of Pressure Vessels in Use" is divided into the following four parts.

---Part 1. Hydrogenation reactor;

--- Part 2. Multi-layer dressing container;

--- Part 3. Coke tower;

--- Part 4. Oxygen chamber.

This part is the first part of GB/T 36669.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 36669 specifies the items and methods for periodic inspections using hot wall hydrogenation reactors.

This section applies to the main material is 14Cr1MoR (or other 1.25Cr-0.5Mo steel), 12Cr2Mo1R (or other 2.25Cr-1Mo) Chromium-molybdenum steel such as steel), 12Cr2Mo1VR (or other 2.25Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel), and internal hot-wall hydrogenation with electrode overlay coating The reactor is inspected periodically. For equipment having similar process conditions, materials, and structural forms to the hydrogenation reactor, reference may be made to this section.

This section does not apply to periodic inspections using cold wall hydrogenation reactors.
