Scope

GB/T 36608.2-2018 is the English-translated version of 家用电器的人类工效学技术要求与测评 第2部分:空调器.

GB/T 36608.2-2018 sets out the ergonomic requirements for household air conditioners and their components, and how those requirements are tested and rated.

It covers thermal comfort, with reference to the indoor comfort requirements of GB/T 33658-2017, the user interface and the ergonomics of intelligent systems that sense users, products and the room and react to them.

Assessment combines professional technical testing with a user experience evaluation, and the standard gives indicator weights, scoring methods for both parts and a total score leading to a rating.

Informative annexes describe the technical test indicators, expert evaluation, the selection and training of test users, a user experience score sheet and star ratings.

Designers and evaluators of household air conditioners use it. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.
