Scope
GB/T 36536-2018 is the English-translated version of 水泥生产企业水平衡测试方法.
GB/T 36536-2018 sets out how a cement production enterprise carries out a water balance test: measuring, recording and analysing the water used by each water unit or system so that the total water input equals the total water output.
It gives terms and definitions, general rules, the test methods and the test procedure. The definitions include the routine condition, meaning actual output at or above 80% of design capacity, and the fresh water intake per tonne of clinker and per tonne of cement, both in cubic metres per tonne.
It builds on GB/T 12452 for enterprise water balance testing and on water quality methods for pH, calcium and magnesium, suspended solids and water temperature.
Cement plants and the bodies that test their water use apply it. It was issued on 13 July 2018 and has applied since 1 February 2019.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general rules, water balance test methods and water balance test procedures for water balance testing in cement production enterprises.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 7119, GB/T 21534, and GB/T 24789 apply to this document.
3.1 Cement production company water balance test
Taking cement production enterprises as the object of investigation, and measuring the amount of water for the water unit or water system in the cement production enterprise The test, statistics, and analysis process are such that the sum of the input water volumes of the water units or systems of the enterprise should be equal to the sum of the output water volumes.
3.2 Routine condition
The actual production output of cement production enterprises is greater than or equal to 80% of the designed production capacity.
3.3 Tons of clinker water intake
During the statistical or testing period, cement producers produce new amounts of water consumed per ton of clinker.
Note: The unit is cubic meters per ton (m3/t).

During the statistical or testing period, cement producers produce new water consumed per ton of cement.
