Scope

GB/T 36417.2-2018 is the English-translated version of 全分布式工业控制网络 第2部分:术语.

GB/T 36417.2-2018 is the terminology part of the GB/T 36417 series on fully distributed industrial control networks, whose other parts cover general principles, general interface requirements and heterogeneous network specifications.

It defines the basic terms of the field, from network, node, network topology, channel and service to distributed network, industrial control system (ICS), industrial control network (ICN) and deterministic delay.

Several definitions are taken from GB/T 5271.18-2008, GB/T 26336-2010 and IEC/PAS 62443-3, with the source given for each. The standard closes with a bibliography and an index of terms.

It is meant for production, research and other technical work on fully distributed industrial control networks. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 36417 "Full Distributed Industrial Control Network" is divided into four parts.

--- Part 1. General;

--- Part 2. Terminology;

--- Part 3. General requirements for interfaces;

--- Part 4. Heterogeneous network technical specifications.

This part is the second part of GB/T 36417.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 36417 defines the terms and definitions of a fully distributed industrial control network.

This section applies to the production, scientific research and other related technical fields of fully distributed industrial control networks.

2 Terms and definitions

2.1 Network

An arrangement for entities and their interconnections. [GB/T 5271.18-2008, definition 18.01.01]

2.2 Node

In the network, connect it to entities of one or more other entities. [GB/T 5271.18-2008, definition 18.01.02]

2.3 Network topology

A schematic arrangement of branches and nodes in the network. [GB/T 5271.18-2008, definition 18.01.04]

2.4 Channel

Connect an end-to-end transport path for any two application-specific devices. [GB/T 26336-2010, definition 3.1.18]

2.5 Service

The ability of a given layer and its next layers to provide an entity above it. [GB/T 5271.18-2008, definition 18.01.11]

2.6 Distributed network

A distributed computing network system with high reliability and easy network expansion.

2.7 Industrial control system

Integrated with mainframes, devices and equipment that perform computational and industrial control to control systems for industrial production, transmission or distribution. [IEC /PAS62443-3.2008, definition 3.1.28]

2.8 Industrial control network

To connect to the network of ICS devices, a factory may have different ICNs at the same time, which may be connected to remote devices and external resources of the plant.

2.9 Deterministic delay

Unless there is a failure or interference, end-to-end delays that are independent of network traffic have the widest range of communication system characteristics.
