Scope
GB/T 36218-2018 is the English-translated version of 船舶生产企业主要耗能设备管理要求.
GB/T 36218-2018 sets out how shipbuilding enterprises should manage the main energy-consuming equipment used to build ships, such as air compressor units, electric welding equipment, hoisting machinery and cutting machines.
It covers the general requirements, selection and procurement, use management, maintenance and repair management, and energy conservation training and publicity.
The general requirements assign management responsibilities to each department, call for a person responsible for energy analysis who keeps regular statistics on equipment and operating time, and require re-inspection of the performance and energy consumption of installed equipment, energy conservation monitoring and the phasing out of obsolete, inefficient machines.
It also sets the qualifications of managers, operators and maintenance staff. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.
