Scope

GB/T 36189-2018 is the English-translated version of 畜禽品种标准编制导则猪.

GB/T 36189-2018 gives the rules for drafting breed standards for pigs, both local breeds and cultivated breeds.

It fixes the structure of such a standard, from cover, contents and foreword through scope, origin and characteristics, body appearance, adult body weight and production performance (reproduction, growth, fattening, carcass traits and meat quality) to determination methods, basic requirements for breeding use and breed photographs, and says which elements are optional.

It explains how each element is drafted, including the cover data with ICS 65.020.30 and CCS B43, and how index values and the size of the population and sample are set.

It builds on GB/T 1.1-2009 and on the NY/T standards for pig registration, performance testing and carcass traits. Drafters of pig breed standards use it. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard stipulates the preparation structure, element drafting, index value, and determination of population and sample number of pig breed standards.

This standard applies to the preparation of breed standards for pig local varieties and cultivated varieties.

3 Writing the structure

The authoring structure includes. cover, directory, preface, standard name, scope, normative references, terms and definitions, source and characteristics, Body appearance characteristics, adult body weight, production performance (reproductive performance, growth and development, fattening performance, carcass traits, muscle quality), determination Law, seed use basic requirements, variety photos. Among them, the catalogue, normative references, terms and definitions are optional elements, others are essential elements.

4 Element drafting

4.1 Cover

The cover should give information on the marking criteria, including. standard name, English translation, level, logo, number, international standard classification number (ICS number), Chinese standard document classification number, record number (not applicable to national standards), release date, implementation date, release department, etc.

The specific format is prepared in accordance with the provisions of Appendix I of GB/T 1.1-2009. The ICS number in the upper left corner of the standard cover of the pig breed is 65.020.30. The Chinese standard document classification number is B43.

4.2 Contents

This element can be omitted if the standard text does not exceed 20 pages. The presentation format shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1.

4.3 Preface

The preface should not contain requirements and recommendations, nor should it contain formulas, diagrams, and tables. The preface should give the following contents in order.

a) Drafting rules on which the standard is based. Its expression is as follows. This standard is in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009 Drafting.
