Scope
GB/T 36141-2018 is the English-translated version of 建筑石膏相组成分析方法.
GB/T 36141-2018 gives two methods, an oven method and a moisture analyzer method, for analysing the phase composition of calcined building gypsum.
It applies to gypsum powder made by calcining dihydrate gypsum, whether natural or an industrial by-product, and determines the content of the three phases present: soluble anhydrite (AIII), hemihydrate gypsum (HH) and residual dihydrate gypsum (DH).
The principle relies on hydration in a 95% aqueous ethanol solution, which converts only soluble anhydrite, full hydration in pure water, and dehydration on heating, so that each phase can be calculated from the mass changes and the attached water separated out.
Gypsum producers and building materials laboratories use it to check calcination quality. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the oven method and moisture analyzer method for the analysis of the phase composition of building gypsum.
This standard applies to soluble gypsum in building gypsum powder prepared by calcination of dihydrate gypsum (natural gypsum or industrial by-product gypsum).
Analysis of three-phase content of (AIII), hemihydrate gypsum (HH), and dihydrate gypsum (DH).

3 Principle
3.1 Soluble anhydrite in building gypsum (AIII)
Soluble anhydrite (AIII) is hygroscopic, and its absorption of water in the air can be converted into hemihydrate gypsum (HH), so it is soluble.
Water gypsum (AIII) and attached water are not present in the sample at the same time. Soluble anhydrite (AIII) can be hydrated in 95% aqueous ethanol solution Hemihydrate gypsum, under the same conditions, hemihydrate gypsum (HH) can not be hydrated into dihydrate gypsum (DH), so it can be determined by measuring soluble stone The content of the paste (AIII) hydrated in a 95% aqueous solution of ethanol was calculated. Its hydration reaction is as follows.
CaSO4 + 0.5H2O = CaSO4·0.5H2O
The content of soluble anhydrite (AIII) was calculated according to the chemical reaction formula.
If there is no soluble anhydrite (AIII) in the sample, the quality of the sample before drying is greater than the mass after drying the constant weight, and the attached water can be calculated. Quality score.
3.2 Hemihydrate gypsum (HH) in building plaster
Hemihydrate gypsum (HH) and soluble anhydrite (AIII) can be fully hydrated into dihydrate gypsum (DH) in pure water.
The hydration increment in pure water, ie the total amount of hemihydrate gypsum (HH) and soluble anhydrite (AIII) to form dihydrate gypsum (DH), minus The content of soluble anhydrite (AIII) measured by 3.1 principle (when the anhydrous gypsum (AIII) phase is not included, the attached water should be baked.
The mass loss) can be used to calculate the content of hemihydrate gypsum (HH). Its hydration reaction is as follows.
CaSO4·0.5H2O + 1.5H2O = CaSO4·2H2O
3.3 Residual dihydrate gypsum (DH) in building gypsum
Heating the building gypsum to 200 ° C or above, dihydrate gypsum (DH) dehydrated into soluble anhydrite (AIII), the total amount of dehydration is The sum of the dehydration amounts of dihydrate gypsum (DH) and hemihydrate gypsum (HH) and attached water, minus the amount of dehydration of hemihydrate gypsum (HH) and attached water, ie The residual dihydrate gypsum (DH) content can be calculated. The heating and dehydration reaction formula is as follows.
