1 Scope
This standard specifies the application requirements of the Internet Protocol Storage Area Network (IP-SAN), including host-side, network devices, and storage devices. Preparation, system and other requirements.
This standard applies to the application and deployment of storage area network (IP-SAN) systems of various types of Internetworking protocols.

3 Terms, definitions and abbreviations
3.1 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1.1 Initiator
In the IP-SAN system, the host side is used to connect the software of the target in the IP-SAN storage device.
3.1.2 Target
In IP-SAN systems, IP-SAN storage devices are used to service host-side requested software.
3.1.3 Host bus adapter
Circuit board and/or integrated circuit for providing input/output processing and physical connection between host side and IP-SAN storage device
