Scope

GB/T 35938-2018 is the English-translated version of 条斑紫菜 丝状体培育技术规范.

GB/T 35938-2018 gives the technical rules for growing the conchocelis, the filamentous shell-boring phase, of the laver Pyropia yezoensis in production hatcheries.

It defines free-living conchocelis, shell conchocelis and conchosporangia, and specifies the culture facilities, starting with the nursery room: site selection, with seawater meeting GB 3097, its size in relation to the net curtains to be seeded, and its design and orientation.

It then covers the production of carpospore seedlings, their cultivation, disease prevention and control, and the collection of conchospores. It applies to the production and cultivation of the filaments and to the quality assessment of the carpospores and conchospores.

Laver farms and seedling producers use it. It was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 September 2018.

Technical requirements for seedlings, cultivation, disease and control, and shell spore collection.

This standard applies to the production and cultivation of Porphyra yezoensis filaments, and the quality assessment of fruit spores and shell spores.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 21046 apply to this document.

3.1 Free-living conchocelis

The spores of seaweed fruit are suspended in water or attached to an attachment base, and long filamentous filaments of the algae sprout.

3.2 Conchocelis

The spores or free filaments of the laver cut into sections and grow inside the shells into irregularly branched algae composed of a single row of cells.

3.3 Conchosporangia

Filamentous filaments grow to a certain extent, with their lateral branches or apicals forming distinctly thicker branches (commonly known as enlarged cells), from one cell to another. Splitting forms irregular clusters.

4 Incubation facilities

4.1 Nursery Room

4.1.1 Site Selection

No pollution, convenient transportation, taking seawater and fresh water in the coastal areas, the sea water quality meets the requirements of GB 3097.

4.1.2 Scale

Each 180m² seaweed cultivation net curtain should be equipped with 0.8m² ~ 1.0m² nursery area.

4.1.3 Design

The nursery room is suitable for east-west direction and the roof is made of heat insulation material. The skylight area should account for 1/4~1/3 of the nursery pond area, and the side window surface
