Scope
GB/T 35896-2018 is the English-translated version of 脊尾白虾.
GB/T 35896-2018 is the Chinese national germplasm standard for the ridgetail white prawn, Exopalaemon carinicauda Holthuis, 1950.
It gives the scientific name and taxonomic position of the species, in the family Palaemonidae of the order Decapoda, and describes its main external morphology, its growth and reproduction, and its cytogenetic, biochemical genetic and molecular genetic characteristics.

1 Scope
This standard gives the scientific name and classification of the white-tailed shrimp (Exopalaemoncarinicauda Holthuis, 1950), and the main external morphology. Characteristics, growth and reproduction characteristics, cytogenetic properties, biochemical genetic characteristics, molecular genetic properties, detection methods, and determination rules.
This standard applies to germplasm identification and detection of white-tailed shrimp.

4.1 External Features
The horn tail of the white lobster is flat and slender, and the upper and lower edges are serrated.
