Scope

GB/T 35845-2018 is the English-translated version of 莫来石质隔热耐火砖.

GB/T 35845-2018 is the Chinese national product standard for insulating mullite refractory bricks, alumino-silicate insulating firebricks whose main crystal phase is mullite.

It applies to the insulation layer of industrial kilns and furnaces and to bricks that are not in direct contact with high-temperature molten material. The bricks are divided into seven grades, MG-23, MG-25, MG-26, MG-27, MG-28, MG-30 and MG-32, according to the classification temperature set by the permanent linear change on reheating.

The standard also covers shape and dimensions, technical requirements, test methods such as bulk density, cold crushing strength, thermal conductivity and chemical analysis, quality assessment procedures, packaging, marking, transport, storage and quality certificates.

Refractory makers and furnace builders use it. It was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of mullite insulating firebricks, their grades, shape and dimensions, technical requirements, test methods, and quality assessment. Procedures, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates.

This standard applies to thermal insulation layer of thermal kiln furnace or mullite insulation firebrick which does not directly contact working layer of high temperature molten material.

3.1 Mullite insulating firebrick

The main crystal phase is a mullite-based alumino-silicon insulating firebrick.

4 Brand and Shape Size

4.1 Brand

The mullite insulating firebrick is divided into MG-23, MG-25, MG-26, MG-27, MG-28, MG-30 and MG-32 according to the classification temperature. A total of seven brands. Among them, M and G are the first letters of the Chinese Pinyin and the subsequent numbers are the points of the mullite insulating firebrick. Level, according to the test temperature calibration of the change of the heating permanent line, the specific meaning is shown in Table 1.
