Scope

GB/T 35748-2017 is the English-translated version of 聚四氟乙烯长丝.

GB/T 35748-2017 fixes the terms and definitions, the classification and identification, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage provisions for polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filament.

Clause 1 states that it applies to PTFE monofilament and to plied yarn made by twisting monofilaments together, with monofilament linear densities running from 55 dtex to 2000 dtex, and it adds that PTFE filament of other specifications may use the standard as a reference.

Clause 3 defines PTFE filament as filament made from polytetrafluoroethylene resin, and adopts in addition the terminology of GB/T 3291.1, GB/T 3291.3 and all parts of GB/T 4146.

Clause 4 divides the products into monofilament and plied yarn such as sewing thread, and requires the product designation to state the nominal linear density of the monofilament, the nominal total linear density and the number of monofilaments, in the form 1110 dtex/3f.

It was proposed by the China Textile Industry Federation and is administered by the Shanghai textile industry technical supervision body. The standard was issued on 29 December 2017 and has applied since 1 July 2018.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions polytetrafluoroethylene filament, classification and identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, package Installation, transportation and storage requirements.

This standard applies to PTFE monofilament and monofilament ply, twist made of plied wire. Monofilament linear density range 55dtex ~ 2000dtex. Other specifications of polytetrafluoroethylene filament can be used as a reference.
