GB/T 35420-2025 is the English-translated version of 物联网标识体系 Ecode在二维码中的存储.

GB/T 35420-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the same identifier carried in a two-dimensional symbol — the data structure types, the encoded structure for versions V0 to V3 that a scanner reads directly, the URL structure that turns the code into a web address a phone camera can open, and the selection of the symbol itself among the QR, Han Xin and Data Matrix codes. It replaces GB/T 35420-2017, with the one-dimensional part GB/T 35419-2025. In force from 1 December 2025. Issued on 30 May 2025, it has been in force since 1 December 2025, replacing GB/T 35420-2017.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required.

This document replaces GB/T 35420-2017 "Storage of Ecode in QR code for Internet of Things Identification System".

Compared with 2017, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The data structure type of Ecode has been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the 2017 edition);

b) Added the encoding data structure of Ecode-V0 (see 6.1);

c) The user area of the Ecode-V1, Ecode-V2, and Ecode-V3 coding data structures has been deleted (see 6.1 of the 2017 edition);

d) The start character of the attribute area, the DCI start character and the DCI end character are deleted (see 6.2.2 of the 2017 version);

e) Added the URL data structure of Ecode-V0 (see 7.1);

f) Changed the leading character “?” in the unique identification area of the Ecode-V1, Ecode-V2, and Ecode-V3 URL data structures (see 7.2, 2017 7 of the 2001 edition);

g) Added the leading characters "?", " This document is proposed and coordinated by the National Article Coding Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 287).

1 Scope

This document specifies the data structure type, encoding, and Requirements for data structure, URL data structure and QR code selection.

This document is applicable to the Internet of Things (IoT) using QR codes as data carriers, including Ecode-V0, Ecode-V1, Ecode-V2, and Ecode-V3. application.
