3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Composite reinforced pipeline steel

Through the pipeline in the pipe wrapped composite material pipe products, the main load-bearing structure consists of two parts, namely the inner layer of steel pipe

And outer continuous fiber reinforced composite material. When the product is subjected to internal pressure, the circumferential load is shared by the steel pipe and the composite material layer.

3.2 Winding angle

The angle between the winding direction of the fiber in the composite layer and the axial direction of the pipe.

3.3 Self-tight auto-frettage

In order to stress the inner layer of steel exceeds the yield stress, resulting in plastic deformation, in the manufacture of composite materials to enhance pipe line pipe plus

Pressure process.

Note. As a result of self-tightening, the composite reinforced layer has tensile stress at zero pressure.

3.4 Self-tight pressure

The pressure applied to distribute the stress between the inner steel tube and the outer composite reinforcement.
