1 Scope
This Standard specifies the ordering content, designation representation, dimensions, shape, weight and tolerances, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificate, etc. of chromium molybdenum alloy steel plate for hydrogen service equipment.
This Standard is applicable to the manufacture of chromium molybdenum alloy steel plate (hereinafter known as steel plate for short) with a thickness of 6 mm
~ 200 mm for hydrogen service equipment of petrochemical and coal chemical industry.

Ultrasonic testing
3 Ordering content
Contracts or orders for ordering in accordance with this Standard shall include the following.
a) Standard number;
b) Designation;
c) Dimensions;
d) Delivery state;
e) Weight;
f) Impact test temperature of 14Cr1MoR(H);
g) Specific holding temperature of 15CrMoR(H), 14Cr1MoR(H) in Table 8;
h) The heating rate, cooling rate, and holding time in Table 8;
i) Whether 12Cr2Mo1R(H), 12Cr2Mo1VR(H) are subjected to a step cooling test;
j) Sampling quantity and inspection location for Brinell hardness in Table 9;
k) Special requirements.
4 Designation representation
6.6 Nondestructive testing
The steel plate shall be subjected to ultrasonic testing one by one and shall comply with the Class I requirements of NB/T 47013.3-2015.
6.7 Surface quality
6.7.1 There shall be no defects which affect the use such as cracks, bubbles, scarring, folding, and inclusions on the surface of steel plate. The steel plate shall not have visible delamination. If there are the above surface defects, cleaning is allowed. The cleaning depth is calculated from the actual dimension of steel plate and shall not exceed half the thickness tolerance of the steel plate;
and the minimum thickness of the steel plate shall be ensured. The defect cleaning area shall be smooth and free of edges and corners.
6.7.2 Other defects are allowed. The depth is calculated from the actual dimension of steel plate and shall not exceed half the allowable tolerance of the thickness. It shall ensure that the thickness of steel plate at the defect is not less than the minimum allowable thickness of the steel plate.
6.7.3 Steel plates are not allowed to be welding-repaired.
6.8 Step cooling test
According to the requirements of the purchaser and stated in the contract,
12Cr2Mo1R(H) and 12Cr2Mo1VR(H) shall be subjected to step cooling test in accordance with Appendix B. SEE Appendix A for the definition of step cooling heat treatment.
6.9 Special requirements
According to the requirements of the purchaser, negotiated between the supplier and the purchaser and indicated in the contract, the corresponding special requirements shall be selected according to Appendix C.
7 Test methods
7.1 The test method for chemical composition of steel shall be in accordance with GB/T 223.9, GB/T 223.11, GB/T 223.14, GB/T 223.17, GB/T 223.18, GB/T
223.23, GB/T 223.26, GB/T 223.31, GB/T 223.37, GB/T 223.40, GB/T 223.47,
GB/T 223.50, GB/T 223.60, GB/T 223.62, GB/T 223.63, GB/T 223.67, GB/T
223.69, GB/T 223.75, GB/T 223.76, GB/T 223.77, GB/T 223.80, GB/T 223.82,
GB/T 4336, GB/T 11261, GB/T 20123, GB/T 20124 or general test methods.
Arbitration shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 223.9, GB/T
223.11, GB/T 223.14, GB/T 223.17, GB/T 223.18, GB/T 223.23, GB/T 223.26,
GB/T 223.31, GB/T 223.37, GB/T 223.40, GB/T 223.47, GB/T 223.50, GB/T
223.60, GB/T 223.62, GB/T 223.63, GB/T 223.67, GB/T 223.69, GB/T 223.75,
GB/T 223.76, GB/T 223.77, GB/T 223.80, GB/T 223.82.
Appendix A (Informative)
Definition of heat treatment
A.1 Scope
This appendix defines the maximum simulated post-weld heat treatment, the minimum simulated post-weld heat treatment, and step cooling heat treatment.
A.2 Maximum simulated post-weld heat treatment
15CrMoR(H), 14Cr1MoR(H).
Maximum simulated post-weld heat treatment. specific heat treatment of the sample, used to simulate all manufacturing heat treatments, including austenitizing and tempering, final post-weld heat treatment, a possible manufacturer rework of post-weld heat treatment cycle, minimum additional post-weld heat treatment which the owner may use in the future.
12Cr2Mo1R(H), 12Cr2Mo1VR(H).
Maximum simulated post-weld heat treatment. specific heat treatment of the sample, used to simulate all manufacturing heat treatments, including austenitizing and tempering, all intermediate heat treatments above 482 °C, final post-weld heat treatment, a possible manufacturer rework of post-weld heat treatment cycle, minimum additional post-weld heat treatment which the owner may use in the future.
Note. To determine the equivalent time for a temperature (within the range of simulated post-weld heat treatment), the Larson-Miller parameter can be used.
A.3 Minimum simulated post-weld heat treatment
15CrMoR(H), 14Cr1MoR(H).
Minimum simulated post-weld heat treatment. specific heat treatment of the sample, used to simulate the minimum heat treatment (austenitizing, tempering, and one post-weld heat treatment cycle).
12Cr2Mo1R(H), 12Cr2Mo1VR(H).
Minimum simulated post-weld heat treatment. specific heat treatment of the sample, used to simulate the minimum heat treatment (austenitizing, tempering, one post-weld heat treatment cycle, and intermediate stress release above 482 °C).
Note. To determine the equivalent time for a temperature (within the range of simulated post-weld heat treatment), the Larson-Miller parameter can be used.
Appendix B (Normative)
Step cooling test
B.1 Test frequency
The steel plates of the same furnace (tank) number, the same thickness, and the same heat treatment system are taken as one group. The steel plate with the highest coefficient J for product analysis is selected from each group for step cooling test.
B.2 Sample and heat treatment requirements
B.2.1 2 groups of Charpy V-notch samples (at least 24 samples per group) shall be prepared and subjected to the following heat treatment.
a) Group 1 sample - minimum post-weld heat treatment, to determine the transformation temperature curve prior to the step cooling heat treatment.
b) Group 2 sample - minimum post-weld heat treatment plus the following step cooling heat treatment, to determine the transformation temperature curve after the step cooling heat treatment.
B.2.2 The step cooling heat treatment shall meet the following requirements.
1) HEAT to 316 °C. The heating rate is not strictly required;
2) HEAT to 593 °C at a heating rate of no more than 56 °C/h, and KEEP for
1 h;
3) COOL to 538 °C at a cooling rate of no more than 6 °C/h, and KEEP for
15 h;
4) COOL to 524 °C at a cooling rate of no more than 6 °C/h, and KEEP for
24 h;
5) COOL to 496 °C at a cooling rate of no more than 6 °C/h, and KEEP for
60 h;
6) COOL to 468 °C at a cooling rate of no more than 3 °C/h, and KEEP for
100 h;
7) COOL to 316 °C at a cooling rate of no more than 28 °C/h;
8) COOL to ambient temperature in still air.
B.2.3 After heat treatment, each group of samples shall be subjected to the impact test at the selected 8 test temperatures, 1 of which shall be -30 °C. 3
Appendix C (Normative)
Special requirements
C.1 Designation
According to the requirements of the purchaser, the steel designation can also be composed of Chinese characters representing hydrogen service and the corresponding designation in GB/T 713-2014, such as the Chinese characters
15CrMoR. When the steel designation is expressed in such a way, its technical requirements shall be consistent with those of the corresponding designations in Table C.1 of this Standard.
The comparison between the designations in this clause and the designations in the Standard text is given in Table C.1.

C.2 Thickness tolerance
The thickness tolerance shall be in accordance with the Class C requirements in GB/T 709-2006.
C.3 Chemical composition (smelting analysis and product analysis)
C.3.1 The P content in steel shall be no more than 0.007%.
C.3.2 For 15CrMoR(H), 14Cr1MoR(H), and 12Cr2Mo1R(H), when the Z35
grade through-thickness characteristics are required, the S content shall meet the corresponding requirements of GB/T 5313.
C.3.3 The total aluminium (Alt) content of steel shall comply with the requirements of Table C.2.
