GB/T 34960.5-2018 is the data governance part of the Chinese series on information technology service governance.
It sets the general principles, goals and tasks of data governance and a framework built on top-level design (strategic planning, organisation and architecture design), the governance environment, the governance domains of data management and data value, and a governance process of planning, building and running, monitoring and evaluation, and improvement.
Normative annexes cover the governance of data management systems and of data value systems. Organisations use it to assess their data governance and set up a governance system, to clarify domains and processes, to develop or select data governance software, and for internal, external or third-party evaluation. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
Introduction
The digitization of services and the commercialization of data are the focus and trend of data services and applications in various industries and fields. In order to promote the group To use data effectively, efficiently, and reasonably, it is necessary to provide data during data acquisition, storage, integration, analysis, application, presentation, archiving, and destruction.
The relevant specifications of data governance are implemented to achieve the goals of operational compliance, controllable risk, and value realization.
This part of GB/T 34960 aims to assess the status quo of data governance, guide the establishment of data governance system, and supervise its operation and perfect.
GB/T 34960.1-2017 presents the guiding principles, models, tasks, and regulatory requirements for information technology governance; GB/T 34960.2-2017 put forward the requirements for the implementation process of information technology governance; GB/T 34960.3-2017 put forward the information technology governance performance index system The establishment procedure; GB/T 34960.4-2017 proposed the audit method and scope of information technology governance. This section can be linked to the above four sections Use together.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 34960 proposes the general principles and framework of data governance, and stipulates the top-level design and data governance of data governance. Environment, data governance domains, and data governance processes. This section applies to.
a) Self-assessment of data governance status and establishment of data governance system;
b) Clearness of data governance domains and processes, guidance on implementation of data governance implementation;
c) R&D, selection and evaluation of data governance-related software or solutions;
d) Internal, external and third-party evaluations of data governance capabilities and performance.

The vision and high-level guidelines for organizing data work.
3.5 Data Architecture
The abstraction of data elements, structures and interfaces, and the framework of their relationships.
