3.1 General concepts
3.1.1 Composites
A heterogeneous solid material consisting of two or more substances of different physical and chemical properties.
3.1.2 Metal matrix composites
Metal or alloy as the matrix to fiber, whisker, particle reinforced composite material.
3.1.3 Strengthen the body reinforcement
The phase introduced into the matrix for improved matrix properties.
3.1.4 Reinforced body content
The mass or volume fraction of the reinforcement in the composite.
3.1.5 Hybrid
Composites contain two or more different types of reinforcements.
3.1.6 Fiber
In a certain size range of aspect ratio greater than and equal to 5 enhancements.
