Scope

GB/T 34434-2017 is the English-translated version of 家用和类似用途电器 可靠性加速试验方法.

GB/T 34434-2017 specifies the accelerated test method for the reliability of household and similar electrical appliances. Clause 1 adds that the standard applies to time-censored testing and to reliability growth and improvement testing, and it sets out no exclusions.

Clause 3 takes the definitions of GB/T 2900.13-2008 and adds four of its own: the acceleration factor, the high acceleration limit test (HALT), the class A accelerated test and the type B accelerated test.

The same clause records that the acceleration factor is greater than one in an accelerated test, that the class A accelerated test is qualitative and aimed mainly at discovering failure modes and failure phenomena rather than at quantifying reliability indicators, and that the type B accelerated test is quantitative and uses stress-cumulative damage methods to establish the reliability level over the expected life of the product.

Clause 4 covers accelerated test procedures, methods and strategies, and clause 5 covers the limitations of the accelerated test method.

Five informative annexes carry worked examples: a high acceleration limit test on a vending machine control panel, a high acceleration limit test on a refrigerator refrigeration system, a life accelerated test on a compressor air compressor, a control panel carrying accelerated test and a hot air accelerated aging test on a silicone rubber tube assembly; a bibliography closes the document.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 5080.7 and one further document on electrotechnical terminology for dependability and quality of service whose code the draft does not print.

The page gives the standard as a recommended national standard under ICS 97.030 and Chinese classification Y60, with an estimated 30,389 words. It was issued on 14 October 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the accelerated test method for reliability of household and similar electrical appliances.

This standard applies to time-censored test and the reliability of growth, improve the test.

2 Normative references

The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

Electrotechnical terminology credibility and quality of service

GB/T 5080.7 equipment reliability test under constant failure rate under the assumption of failure rate and MTBF validation test program

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 2900.13-2008 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Acceleration factor

The ratio of failure distribution characteristics (or reliability level) of a product under expected stress conditions to high stress conditions.

Note 1. For accelerating tests, the acceleration factor is greater than one.

Note 2. When the product is assumed to have a Poisson distribution of constant failure rate, the acceleration factor refers to the time the product is under stress and the time under high stress ratio.

3.2 High acceleration limit test

Under specified environmental stress, the test or test sequence used to identify the most likely mode of failure of the product.

Note 1. HALT is sometimes mistakenly referred to as a high accelerated life test.

Note 2. As an accelerated test of non-index evaluation, it can not obtain the information of product life but can get the information of product design stress limit.

3.3 Class A accelerated test

Qualitative acceleration test, mainly for the discovery of failure mode and (or) failure phenomenon.

The purpose of this type of test is not to determine the value of quantitative indicators of product reliability, but rather to stimulate the functional performance of the product during the experiment.

Note In the product development process, the use of Class A accelerated test without verifying the reliability of indicators and access to the reliability of growth in the case, by reducing the failure mode Increase the number of products and enhance product robustness to improve its reliability.

3.4 Type B accelerated test

Quantitative acceleration test, mainly for the normal use of the product failure distribution.

It is the level of reliability that is used to determine the expected life of a product using stress-cumulative damage methods.
