Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 34395-2017 "Guidelines for Functional Design of Exhibition Venues". Compared with GB/T 34395-2017, except for the structure... Aside from adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Added relevant terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);

b) The "General Requirements" were changed to "General Principles," and the corresponding technical content was modified (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the.2017 edition);

c) The term "system division" was changed to "system composition," and the corresponding technical content was modified (see 5.1,.2017 version 5.1); "indoor exhibition" was changed... The term "area" has been changed to "indoor exhibition hall" (see 5.2.1,

5.5 in the.2017 version), and corresponding technical content has been added (see 5.2.1.1, 5.2.1.4~). 5.2.1.7); "Outdoor Exhibition Area" was changed to "Outdoor Exhibition Venue" (see 5.2.2,

1 Scope

GB/T 34395-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering designing a hall that works for an exhibition - the clear span and floor loading, the door and vehicle access for build-up, the services in the floor, the visitor circulation and the separation of goods from people. It replaces GB/T 34395-2017 and has been in force since 1 October 2026, with the venue planning guideline GB/T 34398-2026. It was issued on 31 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 October 2026, replacing GB/T 34395-2017. The document is under the responsibility of the Standardization Administration of China. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 26165 and GB/T 30520, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

4 General Principles

4.1 Systemic A systematic and modular approach should be adopted, dividing the functions of exhibition venues into different levels of subsystems according to the flow characteristics of people, vehicles, goods, and information. The various subsystems coordinate and support each other to build a complete, balanced, and efficient exhibition venue functional system.

4.2 Coordination It is advisable to take into account the tidal characteristics of exhibition operations, coordinate the cooperation between functional systems and with the external environment, and rationally arrange the entry and exit of people and vehicles, as well as the internal road network. 4.3 Practicality The design of exhibition venues should focus on the functional needs of the exhibition, striving for simplicity, efficiency, and avoiding ineffective space, while also taking into account convenience and inclusivity.
