Scope

GB/T 34255-2026 is the English-translated version of 聚丁二酸-己二酸丁二酯(PBSA)树脂.

This standard concerns poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene adipate) resin, usually abbreviated PBSA. PBSA is a biodegradable polyester used in films, packaging, and other plastic products, and a national product standard for the resin gives suppliers and processors a common basis for describing it.

Resin producers, compounders, film and packaging converters, procurement staff, and testing laboratories can use it. It is a recommended national standard (GB/T), meaning it is voluntary unless made binding by a contract or customer. The 2026 edition replaces GB/T 34255-2017, so specifications and supply agreements that cite the older edition may require revision. The standard was issued on 28 September 2026 and applies from 1 April 2027. It is one of several standards in the same batch dealing with biodegradable plastics, and it covers the raw material rather than a finished article, which makes it a reference point upstream of film and product converters.
