Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard uses redrafted law to amend the use of IEC 60906-3:1994 "IEC for household and similar purposes plug and socket Part 3. Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) Plug & Socket 16A6V, 12V, 24V, 48V AC and DC ".

This standard and IEC 60906-3:1994 technical differences and the reasons are as follows.

--- According to the relevant provisions of GB/T 1.1 and the standard reference documents, an increase of Chapter 2, "Normative references", tied Out of GB/T 2099.8.

This standard made the following editorial changes.

--- The standard name was changed to "Household and Similar Safety extra low voltage (SELV) AC and DC plug and socket 16A6V, 12V, 24V, 48V type, the basic parameters and dimensions ";

--- According to the relevant provisions of GB/T 1.1, in Chapter 1 "Scope" in paragraph 1 added "This standard specifies the household and similar security all special low voltage (SELV) plug socket type, basic parameters and dimensions ";

--- Because this standard adds Chapter 2 "normative references", so Chapter 2 of IEC 60906-3:1994 "technical requirements and Test Method "in this standard as Chapter 3.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the type and basic parameters and dimensions of SELV plugs and sockets for household and similar purposes.

This standard applies to indoor or outdoor use, household and similar purposes 6V, 12V, 24V, 48V DC or AC (50 /60Hz) Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV), 16A rated current, fixed or mobile sockets and appliance sockets.
