This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

- Replacing IEC 60906-3:1994 with modified GB/T 34134-2017 adopting international standards;

1 Scope

GB/T 2099.1-2008 replaced by this chapter.

This section provides for household and similar purposes Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) plug and socket ratings, signs, protection against electric shock, structure, Electrical performance, mechanical performance and other technical requirements.

This section applies to indoor or outdoor use, household and similar purposes, 6V ~ 48V (including 48V), direct current or alternating current (50/60 Hz) Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV), plugs up to 16A, fixed or mobile sockets and appliance sockets.

Note 1. This section is being considered for expanding to higher frequencies.

This section does not include the requirements of the concealed installation box; only includes the socket for the test required for installation of Ming-mounted box requirements.

This part also applies to the plug installed in the cord assembly and integrated into the appliance or installed in the appliance or fixed to the appliance socket.
