Scope

GB/T 34106-2017 is the English-translated version of 桥梁主缆缠绕用S形热镀锌或锌铝合金钢丝.

GB/T 34106-2017 is the Chinese national standard for the S-shaped steel wire, hot-dip coated with zinc or with a zinc-aluminium alloy, that is wrapped around the main cable of a suspension bridge to seal and protect it.

It defines the product, its designation and what an order must state, the dimensions and their tolerances, the technical requirements - coating mass and adhesion, tensile strength, elongation, wrapping and torsion behaviour - the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on packaging, marking and the quality certificate.

Wire makers, bridge contractors and supervising engineers use it. Issued on 31 July 2017, it has applied since 1 April 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the definition of the S-shaped hot-dip galvanized or zinc-aluminum alloy steel wire wrapped around the main cable, mark, order content, size, weight and allow Tolerance, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate.

This standard applies to S-shaped galvanized or zinc-aluminum alloy steel wire (hereinafter referred to as S-shaped steel wire) for the main cable winding of bridges.
