1 Scope

This document specifies the product markings, ordering details, manufacturing methods, materials, technical requirements, and testing methods for epoxy-coated steel wire and strand.

Repair, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of coating.

This document applies to epoxy-coated steel wires and monofilaments coated with epoxy coating for prestressed engineering and components (such as bridges, buildings, and geotechnical anchorages).

Seven-strand prestressed steel strand.

This document does not apply to integrally coated or filled epoxy-coated steel strands.
