Scope
GB/T 34015.2-2020 is the English-translated version of 车用动力电池回收利用 梯次利用 第2部分:拆卸要求.
GB/T 34015.2-2020 is Part 2 of GB/T 34015 and sets the rules for removing a traction battery from an electric vehicle for echelon use or recycling.
It covers the terms, the operating requirements and the temporary storage and management of the packs, and it applies to lithium ion and nickel metal hydride packs; it does not cover removal during after sales maintenance, nor lead acid batteries.
The removing plant works from the vehicle maker's guidance documents, on a hardened and leak proof site, with extraction systems, dedicated containers and fire fighting equipment, and two operators, one a certified electrician.
Each vehicle is registered in the traceability system, the high voltage system is isolated and tested, and the pack is assessed, labelled and stored by class. It was issued on 31 March 2020 and has applied since 1 October 2020.

Foreword
GB/T 34015 "Recycling of traction battery used in electric vehicle" is divided into 6 parts.
-- Part 1: Test of residual capacity;
-- Part 2: Removing requirements;
-- Part 3: Echelon use requirements;
-- Part 4: Echelon use product identification;
-- Part 5: Design guide for echelon use;
-- Part 6: Specification for remaining life assessment.
This Part is Part 2 of GB/T 34015.
This Part was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T34015 specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, operating requirements, temporary storage and management requirements for the remove of traction battery (or power battery) used in electric vehicle.
This Part applies to the removing process of traction lithium-ion battery packs and traction nickel-hydrogen traction battery packs in the recycling process.
The removing process of other types of traction battery packs can be implemented by reference.
This Part does not apply to the remove of traction batteries in the after-sales maintenance of automobiles, nor does it apply to the remove of lead-acid batteries.
