Scope
GB/T 33976-2017 is the English-translated version of 原油船货油舱用耐腐蚀热轧型钢.
GB/T 33976-2017 is the Chinese national standard for corrosion resistant hot rolled section steel for cargo oil tanks. It specifies the designation method, the ordering contents, the size, shape, weight and permissible deviations, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the packaging, marking and quality certificate.
It applies to corrosion resistant hot rolled section steel for the manufacture of the cargo oil tanks of crude oil tankers.
Clause 2 lists a long series of chemical analysis methods of the GB/T 223 family covering phosphorus, silicon, aluminium, chromium, vanadium, titanium, copper, nickel, molybdenum, niobium, manganese, sulfur and carbon, together with GB/T 222 on the permissible tolerance of the chemical composition of finished steel products; several of those lines reached us without their code, because the source page prints the title alone, and they are given here with the title only rather than with a code we could not confirm. It was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.
