GB/T 33962-2017 is the Chinese national method for the determination and calculation of the heat balance of a coke oven.
It gives the terms and definitions, the basis of the heat balance test and calculation, the test procedure, the content of the test, the measuring points and methods, the material balance calculation, the heat balance calculation and the heat balance test report.
It applies to the heat balance test and calculation of conventional coke ovens, and other coke ovens may use it for reference.
It defines the coal charge weight, the mass of coal charged into the carbonization chamber, the coking time, from the moment the coal is charged into the chamber and heated out of contact with air until the coke cake touches the pusher ram and is about to be discharged, the coke cake centre temperature, measured half an hour before pushing, the heating gas used to fire the chamber, the raw gas, the unpurified gas mixture that comes off while the coal is being coked, and the clean gas, the gas after purification.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of coke oven thermal balance test and calculation, thermal balance test and calculation reference, test procedure, test content, Parts and methods, material balance calculation, thermal balance calculation, heat balance test report.
This standard applies to the conventional coke oven thermal balance test and calculation, other coke oven can refer to the use.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Coal charge weight
The quality of the coal into the carbonization chamber.
3.2 Coking time
From the coal into the carbonization chamber is insulated from the air heated to the coke cake and the push rod contact is about to be launched time.
3.3 Coke center temperature
The carbonization chamber coal material eventually forms the coke and the temperature of the central portion measured half an hour before the coke.
3.4 Heating gas
Used to heat the carbonization chamber to heat the coal to form the fuel.
3.5 Shortage of gas
The coal in the carbonization chamber is heated to form a non-purified gas mixture at the same time as the coke is released.
3.6 Clean gas
The gas after purification.
