Scope
GB/T 33798-2025 is the English-translated version of 生物聚酯连卷袋.
GB/T 33798-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the perforated bags sold on a roll and torn off one at a time, made from PLA, PBS, PBAT or another biodegradable polyester — the thickness deviation and the dimensions, the appearance and the smell, the tensile, tear and heat seal strength, the falling dart impact and the drop and leakage tests that decide whether a loaded bag survives being carried, the biodegradability, and the sampling and inspection rules. It replaces GB/T 33798-2017, changing the dart impact requirement and the drop and leakage tests and dropping the average thickness deviation. In force from 1 October 2025. Issued on 28 March 2025, it has been in force since 1 October 2025, replacing GB/T 33798-2017.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 33798-2017 "Bio-polyester bags on rolls". Compared with GB/T 33798-2017, except for the structural adjustment and In addition to logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) Added description of bio-polyesters in the scope (see Chapter 1);
b) "Average deviation of thickness" has been deleted (see 3.1.1 of the 2017 edition);
c) Change “sensory” to “appearance” and “smell” (see 4.2 and 4.3, 3.2 of the 2017 edition), and change the requirements for smell (see 4.3, 3.2.2 of the 2017 edition);
d) The technical requirements for “dart impact” of roll bags have been changed (see 4.5, 3.4 of the 2017 edition);
e) Change “biodegradability” to “biodegradability” (see 4.6, 3.5 of the 2017 edition);
f) "Hygiene performance" was deleted (see 3.6 of the 2017 edition);
g) Changed the requirements for simulants in the drop test (see 5.6.1, 4.6.1 of the 2017 edition);
h) The requirements for the leakage resistance test have been changed (see 5.6.2, 4.6.2 of the 2017 edition);
i) The basis for determining the mass of the falling weight in the falling dart impact test has been changed (see 5.6.4, 4.6.4 of the 2017 edition);
j) The requirements for batching have been changed (see 6.1, 5.1 of the 2017 edition);
k) The determination of non-conforming items has been changed (see 6.4.1, 5.4.1 of the 2017 edition).

1 Scope
This document specifies the product requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and description of bio-polyester roll bags (hereinafter referred to as roll bags).
The corresponding test methods are described.
This document is applicable to roll bags (also known as tear bags or point-break bags) produced with bio-polyester as the main raw material.
It mainly refers to biodegradable polymers containing ester bonds in the chemical structure, including but not limited to polylactic acid (PLA), polybutylene succinate (PBS), polybutylene terephthalate-adipate (PBAT), polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), polycaprolactone (PCL), polypropylene carbonate (PPC) and products prepared from its blended materials.
