Scope
GB/T 33773-2017 is the English-translated version of 音视频设备红外线遥控编码规则.
GB/T 33773-2017 fixes the infrared coding rules used to remote control audio and video equipment.
It defines the data bit, the structure of the data frame, the transmission mode, the device field and the attribute field, and normative annexes give the key table and the data frame structures for a positioning device, time, date, temperature, humidity and device data.
Clause 3 defines infrared as electromagnetic waves of 0.76 µm to 1000 µm, the 38 kHz carrier, the data bit, the data byte, the synchronisation bit, the data field and the data frame.
The standard applies to audio and video equipment operated by infrared remote control, to remote control applications and to infrared encoders and decoders. It cites GB/T 5465.2 and GB/T 14960-1994. Issued on 31 May 2017, it has applied since 1 December 2017.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the coding rules for infrared remote control of audio and video equipment.
This standard applies to the use of infrared remote control audio and video equipment, remote control applications and audio and video equipment, infrared remote control encoder and decoder.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Infrared
Electromagnetic waves with wavelengths between 0.76µm and 1000µm.
3.2 Carrier
Frequency of 38kHz for carrying remote control encoded AC signal.
3.3 Data bits
Represents the smallest unit of a binary data.
3.4 Data byte
A data consisting of 8 bits of data (8 bits).
3.5 Sync bits
A special data bit that indicates the beginning of the transfer.
3.6 Data field
A set of data bytes divided by different uses.
3.7 Data frame
A set of ordered binary data, consisting of several data fields, including synchronization bits, device fields, attribute fields, and data fields.
