Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 33123-2016 "Quarantine Identification Method for the Trefoil Moth". Compared with GB/T 33123-2016, the only differences are in the structural adjustment. Aside from integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The "Terms and Definitions" section has been revised (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2016 edition);

---The content of "Basic Information on the Cotton Leaf Roller" has been revised (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the.2016 edition);

---The "Methods and Principles" section has been revised (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5 of the.2016 edition);

---The section on "Apparatus and Reagents" has been revised, and the section on "Instruments and Equipment" has been added (see Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the.2016 edition);

---The content of "On-site Inspection" has been changed (see Chapter 7,

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Valva The paired grasping organs in the male external genitalia of Lepidoptera.

Note. These are paired, plate-like structures that evolved from the ninth abdominal segment. They are mostly plate-like, large, and prominent.

3.2 claw-shaped uncus Hook-like or claw-like projections on the male external genitalia of insects.

Note. The flat or hook-like structure at the rear end of the dorsal hood of Lepidoptera insects that curves downwards.

3.3 Socius The club-shaped protrusion on the posterior margin of the dorsal hood of male lepidopteran insects.

3.4 ductusbursae A duct in female Lepidoptera that extends from the vulva to the copulatory sac.

3.5 cystic signum Highly ossified spiky or hook-like structures within the copulatory sac wall of female Lepidoptera external genitalia.

4.Basic Information on the Scaly Leaf Roller Chinese name. (also known as the striped leafroller moth). Synonyms. Brown-headed leafroller, New Zealand oblique comb leafroller. English name. Obliquetortrix, Light-brown applemoth, Appleleafroler, Brown-headedleafroler.
