GB/T 33101-2016 is the English-translated version of 阻燃浸胶帆布 燃烧试验方法.
GB/T 33101-2016 is the Chinese national method for testing how a dipped flame-resistant canvas burns.
It gives the terms and definitions - flaming combustion, flameless combustion and burn damage length - the principle of the horizontal burning test, the equipment and tools, the specimens and their conditioning, the procedure, the expression of the results and the test report.
It applies to flame-resistant canvas made of polyester, nylon and other synthetic fibres, the fabric used in conveyor belts and industrial covers. Weavers, belt makers and testing laboratories use it. Issued on 13 October 2016, it has applied since 1 May 2017.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the use of horizontal combustion test method to determine the flame retardant coating canvas combustion performance test method.
This standard applies to polyester, nylon and other synthetic fibers made of flame retardant canvas burning performance test.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Flame burning flamingcombustion
After removing the source of the combustion, the sample is carbonized by open flame.
3.2 Flameless burning
After the removal of the source of combustion, the sample is carbonized in a flame-free manner.
3.3 Burning damage length
The maximum carbonization length in the length direction from the mark line after burning.
4 Test principle
Use a specific torch, a certain size of the flame retardant dipped canvas sample specified position ignited after a certain period of time to remove the torch, observe and remember Recorded flame burning time, flames burning time and burning damage length.
5 Equipment and tools
5.1 Test burner
The test combustion tank used in this standard shall meet the following requirements.
a) the chamber has an internal volume of at least 0.5 m3;
b) the front of the test chamber with a transparent material made of observation doors, to be able to observe the test;
c) the test chamber has a movable adjustment of the torch holding device;
d) The test chamber shall be provided with an exhaust device which can be opened and closed at any time;
