Scope

GB/T 3286.6-2014 is the English-translated version of 石灰石及白云石化学分析方法 第6部分:磷含量的测定 磷钼蓝分光光度法.

GB/T 3286.6-2014 sets out the phosphorus molybdenum blue spectrophotometric procedure for determining the phosphorus content of limestone and dolomite. Clause 1 limits the method to limestone, dolomite and metallurgical lime, over a measuring range of 0.001% to 0.20% phosphorus expressed as mass fraction.

Clause 3 states the principle: the sample is ignited and decomposed with hydrochloric acid and fumed with perchloric acid, and then, in a medium of about 0.5 mol/L hydrochloric acid, hydroxylamine hydrochloride and ascorbic acid reduce the phosphomolybdic heteropoly acid to phosphorus molybdenum blue, whose absorbance is read on a spectrophotometer at 825 nm.

Clause 4 covers the reagents, beginning with the water quality required by GB/T 6682 and the densities of the hydrochloric acid and the perchloric acid to be used, while clause 2 cites GB/T 2007.2, GB/T 6379.2, GB/T 6682 and GB/T 8170.

A warning placed at the head of the text requires users to apply regular laboratory working practice and makes them responsible for appropriate safety and health measures and for compliance with the relevant national regulations.

The foreword presents the document as Part 6 of GB/T 3286, a standard for the chemical analysis of limestone and dolomite that is divided into nine parts.

The same foreword records the main changes against the previous edition: the title was recast, the normative references were revised, the former allowable difference was replaced by a repeatability limit and a reproducibility limit obtained from an interlaboratory precision trial, and the sodium citrate solution was raised from 15 g/L to 25 g/L while the volume added was cut from 5 mL to 3 mL.

It was proposed by the China Iron and Steel Association and falls under the National Steel Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 183). It replaces GB/T 3286.6-1998, was issued on 30 September 2014 and has applied since 1 May 2015.

Foreword

GB/T 3286 "Methods for chemical analysis of limestone and dolomite" is divided into nine sections.

--- Part 1. calcium oxide and magnesium oxide content complexometric titration and flame atomic absorption spectrometry;

--- Part 2. Determination of silica content of silicon molybdenum blue spectrophotometric method and perchloric acid dehydration gravimetric method;

--- Part 3. Determination of alumina content of chromium azure S spectrophotometric and complexometric titration;

--- Part 4. Determination of iron oxide content of phenanthroline spectrophotometric method and the flame atomic absorption spectrometry;

--- Part 5. Determination of periodate oxidation of manganese oxide spectrophotometry;

--- Part 6. Determination of phosphorus content of phosphorus molybdenum blue spectrophotometric method;

--- Part 7. Determination of sulfur content tube furnace combustion - potassium iodate titration method, high-frequency combustion infrared absorption method and barium sulfate gravimetric method;

--- Part 8. Determination of the weight loss on ignition;

--- Part 9. Determination of carbon dioxide content of the caustic asbestos absorption gravimetric method. This section GB/T Section 63286 of. This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This Part replaces GB/T 3286.6-1998 "limestone, dolomite Chemical analysis methods Determination of phosphorus content", and GB/T 3286.6- Compared to 1998, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- The standard name be changed to "limestone and dolomite chemical analysis - Part 6. Determination of phosphorus content of phosphorus molybdenum blue spectrophotometric law";

--- Normative references canceled the reference standard reign, and adds some reference standards;

--- Carried out jointly between laboratory precision test statistics obtained by the repeatability limit (r) and reproducibility limit R instead of "allowable difference";

The concentration of sodium citrate solution --- 4.8 by the 15g/L to 25g/L, sodium citrate was added in 7.5.1 by the amount of change 5mL To 3mL.

1 Scope

GB/T 3286 provisions of this part of the determination of phosphorus content by phosphorus molybdenum blue spectrophotometric method.

This section applies to the determination of limestone, dolomite and metallurgical lime phosphorus content. Measurement range (mass fraction). 0.001% phosphorus content ~ 0.20%.
