Scope

GB/T 3250-2017 is the English-translated version of 铝及铝合金铆钉用线材和棒材剪切与铆接试验方法.

GB/T 3250-2017 is the Chinese test method for the shear and riveting behaviour of the wire and rod used to make aluminium and aluminium-alloy rivets. It gives an outline of the methods, the shear test, the riveting test and the test report.

In the shear test a shear load is applied to the specimen until the maximum load or fracture, and the maximum load per unit area measures the shear resistance; in the riveting test the specimen is upset in a riveting tool to a set height and the flattened head is examined for cracks, splits or folds.

The testing machine has to meet GB/T 16491 or GB/T 16825.1 at class 1 or better, and annexes give the high-temperature and room-temperature shear fixtures. It replaces GB/T 3250-2007, was issued on 29 September 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 3250-2007 "Aluminum and aluminum alloy rivets and rivets shear test methods and rivets riveting test method." This standard compared with GB/T 3250-2007, in addition to editorial changes outside the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Modify the scope, and added bar products (see Chapter 1, 2007 edition of Chapter 1);

--- Increasing the normative references GB/T 16825.1-2008 "static uniaxial testing machine test Part 1: Rally and (Or) pressure testing machine testing system and calibration "and JJG351" industrial metal thermocouple test requirements " (See Chapter 2);

--- Modify the "Method Summary" and change "Method Summary" to "Method Summary" (see 3, 3.1 and 3.2, 2007 and 3, 3.1 and 3.2);

--- Increased high-temperature heating equipment and requirements (see 4.1.3);

--- Increasing the sample sampling site (see 4.2.1);

--- Increasing the shear specimen size specifications, diameter deviation and surface roughness requirements (see 4.2.2.2);

--- Increasing the original cross-sectional area of the sample formula (see 4.3.1);

--- Modify the shear test fixture aperture and radial clearance requirements of the sample (see 4.3.2, 2007 version 6.1.2);

--- Increased shear test high temperature test procedures (see 4.3.4,4.3.5);

--- Modify the shear test displacement speed (see 4.3.5, 2007 edition of 6.1.4);

--- Modify the requirements of riveting test tools (see 5.1, 2007 version 5.2);

--- Modify the evaluation of riveting test results (see 5.4, 2007 version 7.2);

--- Increasing the requirements of high temperature shear mold (see Appendix A);

--- Added double shear test fixture required appendix (see Appendix B).

This standard replaces the standards previously issued as.

--- GB/T 3250-1982, GB/T 3250-2007;

--- GB/T 3252-1982.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the aluminum and aluminum rivets with wire and bar shear and riveting test method overview, shear test, riveting test, test report.

This standard applies to connectors with aluminum and aluminum rivets line and bar.

Aluminum rivets shear test can refer to the implementation of this standard.

2 Normative references

The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

GB/T 8170 rounded repair rules and limit values of the representation and judgment

GB/T 16491 electronic universal testing machine

GB/T 16825.1 static uniaxial testing machine test Part 1: Tensile and (or) pressure testing machine testing system and force measurement calibration

JJG 351 Industrial metal thermocouple test procedures

3 Method Overview

3.1 Shear test

By applying a shear load to the specimen until the maximum load or break occurs, the maximum load per unit area is used to evaluate the aluminum Shear resistance of alloy wires and rods.

3.2 Riveting test

Use the equipment or hand hammer to upset the specimen in the riveting tool to the required height. By checking upsetting rivet flat head, observe whether Cracks, cracks or folds appear to assess the riveting properties of aluminum alloy wires and bars for connectors.

4 Shear test

4.1 Equipment and fixtures

4.1.1 Testing machine

Tester shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 16491 or GB/T 16825.1, level 1 or better level.

4.1.2 Shear fixture

4.1.2.1 High temperature shear fixture see Appendix A.

4.1.2.2 Room temperature shear fixture see Appendix B.
