Scope

GB/T 31723.405-2026 is the English-translated version of 金属通信电缆试验方法 第4-5部分:电磁兼容 屏蔽或耦合衰减 吸收钳法.

GB/T 31723.405-2026 — This document describes the determination of metals within the frequency range of 30MHz to 1000MHz (2400MHz) (depending on the performance of the absorption clamp).

Absorption clamp method for the coupling or shielding attenuation characteristics of communication cables. This method is based on the three-stage absorption clamp method specified in IEC 62153-4-4 or IEC 62153-4-9.

An alternative to the coaxial method. Because the external circuitry for the absorption clamp method is not specified, test results obtained in different locations and laboratories may vary. The difference is significant, and the variation can even exceed ±6dB.
