3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Sampling rate

Second extracting composition and the number of discrete signal sampling from a continuous signal.

Example. 44.1 kilohertz (kHz).

3.2 Quantization accuracy

Measure the number of discrete signal amplitude grading sampled, usually with "bit (bit)" for the unit.

Example. 16-bit (bit), 24 Wei (bit).

3.3 Number of channels channels

Spread the number of channels of the audio signal.

Example. monaural (mono); multi-channel (multichannel).

3.4 Bitrate

The number of bits transmitted per second or data processing, also known as the "bit rate", with bps (bitpersecond) for the unit.

Example. 1.2Mbps.

3.5 Special recording

Precious, rare or special-purpose audio resources.
