Scope
GB/T 30887-2021 is the English-translated version of 工业企业水系统集成优化技术指南.
GB/T 30887-2021 is the Chinese technical guide for integrating and optimising the water system of an industrial plant. It guides the survey of the present situation, the integration and optimisation itself - the reuse and cascading of water, the treatment and the network that carries it - and the evaluation of the result.
It applies to the water systems of steel works, refineries, paper mills, alcohol plants, viscose and chemical fibre weaving plants, and other industries may follow it.
Plant engineers, design institutes and water authorities use it. It replaces GB/T 30887-2014, was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1. Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
This document replaces GB/T 30887-2014 "Implementation Guidelines for Integrated Optimization of Water Systems in Iron and Steel Complexes", and GB/T 30887-2014 In contrast, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Added "normative references" (see Chapter 2);
b) Modified the contents of some terms and definitions (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.1, 3.3, 3.4 of the:2014 edition);
c) Increased the scope of investigation of petroleum refining, paper, alcohol, viscose and chemical fiber filament weaving enterprises (see 4.2.2, 4.2.3, 4.2.4, 4.2.5, 4.2.6);
d) Added the relevant content of "water system test" (see 4.4);
e) Changed the relevant technical content of "Drawing the current water network map" (see 4.5, 4.4 of the:2014 edition);
f) Added water quality constraints for petroleum refining, paper, alcohol, viscose and chemical fiber filament weaving enterprises, and classified them (see 5.2);
g) Added "The concentration of wastewater after regeneration should be determined according to the limit influent concentration with larger flow demand" in "Determining limit data". content (see 5.3.5);
h) Changed the relevant technical content of "integration optimization" (see 5.4.2.1, 5.4.1 of the:2014 edition);
i) Changed the relevant technical content of "Evaluation of water system integration optimization effect" (see Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the:2014 edition);
j) Changed the relevant content in the appendix (see appendix A, appendix B, appendix C, appendix A, appendix C, appendix D of the:2014 edition).
1 Scope
