Introduction

GB/T 30420 provides common terms used in the design, production and use of different types of sewing machinery based on classification principles and applications.

With definitions, GB/T 30420 is planned to be divided into 4 parts.

---Part 1. General terms. The purpose is to define the general terminology of sewing machinery, and to provide an overview of the main types, products, and general concepts of sewing machinery.

To clarify the terminology of the concept, its mechanism, devices and performance.

---Part 2. Embroidery machine terminology. The purpose is to define the terminology of embroidery machines for sewing machinery, and to introduce the common terms and main products of embroidery machines.

The terminology of product, mechanism, device, control system, operation and pattern production is clarified.

---Part 3. Terminology of spreading and cutting equipment. The purpose is to define the terminology of cloth spreading and cutting equipment of sewing machinery, and to define the terms of cloth spreading and cutting equipment.

Common terms, main types, products, institutions, devices and operation terms are clarified.

---Part 4. Functional component terminology. The purpose is to define the terms of functional components of sewing machinery, and to introduce common terms and terms of functional components. Main product terms are clarified.

This document defines the terms spread equipment and cutting equipment.

This document applies to the design, manufacturing, scientific research, preparation of relevant technical documents and technical exchanges of spreading equipment and cutting equipment.
