Scope

GB/T 30414-2013 is the English-translated version of 乐器音乐信号采集规范.

GB/T 30414-2013 lays down the norms for collecting the music signals of musical instruments.

Clause 1 states that it specifies the terms and definitions, the acquisition principles, the acquisition requirements and the collection procedures for the acquisition of musical instrument signals, and that it applies to the acquisition of the acoustic music signal of musical instruments; no exclusion is stated.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 3241-2010, GB/T 3767-1996, GB/T 3785.1-2010, GB/T 3947-1996, GB/T 5440-1985, GB/T 12060.5-2011 and GB/T 20441.1-2010.

Clause 3, Terms and Definitions, takes over the terms of GB/T 3947-1996 and adds three geometric ones: the reference plane, whose definition the draft garbles past reporting; the reference point, the geometric centre of the instrument reference plane; and the reference axis, a straight line through the reference point in a prescribed direction.

Clause 4, Acquisition Principles, is a single sentence requiring the collection of the acoustic music signal of an instrument to reflect its musical sound accurately.

Clause 5, Acquisition Requirements, opens with 5.1 Acquisition Environment and its 5.1.1 Environmental conditions, where the draft prints a temperature of 20 to 25 degrees C and then breaks off, so the rest of the acquisition requirements and the collection procedures announced in the scope are not shown; the foreword also warns that some of the content may involve patents.

It was proposed by China National Light Industry Council and is kept by SAC/TC371, under ICS 97.200.20 and Chinese classification Y58, with about 6,661 words estimated.

It was issued on 31 December 2013 and has applied since 1 December 2014; the page does not say which edition it replaces.
