Scope
GB/T 29537-2013 is the English-translated version of 80°非密封管螺纹.
GB/T 29537-2013 fixes the 80 degree pipe thread used where the joint is not made pressure-tight on the thread itself.
Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the thread form, the dimensions, the tolerances, the marking and the testing of cylindrical pipe threads with an 80 degree thread angle, and that it applies to threaded connections on thin-walled pipe.
The basic data records the standard as a non-equivalent adoption of DIN 40430-1971, and the foreword says it was drafted with reference to that document, whose title the page gives as Steel conduit thread size.
Clause 2 cites GB/T 14791, and clause 3 takes its terms and definitions from GB/T 14791 before listing the symbols used: the basic major, pitch and minor diameters of the internal and the external thread as D, d, D2, d2, D1 and d1, the number of threads contained in 25.4 mm of axial length as n, the pitch P, the height of the original triangle H, the thread height h, the radius of curvature at the thread crest and root r, and the diameter tolerances TD and Td.
Clause 4 requires the thread form to meet Figure 1, states that the left and right flank angles are equal, and gives the relative sizes as H = 0.595876796P, h = 0.8H = 0.4767P, r = 0.107P and P = 25.4/n.
The draft stops at the end of clause 4, so the dimension tables, the tolerance values and the marking and testing provisions announced in clause 1 are not shown. It was issued on 9 June 2013 and has applied since 1 March 2014.

This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. The standard reference DIN40430. 1971 "Steel conduit thread size" drafting.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the type of tooth type tooth angle of 80 °, the thread does not have a deputy sealing cylindrical pipe threads, dimensions, tolerances, marking and testing.
This standard applies to thin-walled threaded pipe connections.
